Now that summer is behind us, we’re delighted to introduce new episodes of “Making it Right.” We took a short hiatus over the July and August months but will be running new episodes every couple of weeks throughout the balance of the year. Thank you for the continued messages of support – I excerpted a few quotes from recent emails below:
“Keep up your good work on behalf of our industry and what it does for our society”
“These stories continue to resonate with me…absolutely awesome and I share them with my team!”Continue reading →
If you’ve been following our “Making it Right” Web series you know that many of the episodes have showcased compassionate adjusters assisting policyholders through particularly rough times, helping restore what’s important to them. This next episode takes a different tact in profiling an insured whose claim didn’t fit traditional parameters. As Eva Mowry of Security First explains, “Even though there was not coverage under the contract, there is always service and caring – we continued to call the homeowner every day until we got him help because that’s what we do.” Eva’s story on how Security First pulled out all the stops to help the home owner, provides the backdrop for why this episode is entitled, “Beyond the Policy.”
This week’s episode of “Making it Right” centers around family. As tight as your family relationships may be, all too often your spouse or children may not know exactly what claims professionals do. I love the way the young son of one of the series participants characterized what his Dad does, explaining that his father “helps people after a bad weather.” (I’m paraphrasing slightly). But, family members may not always understand the day-to-day aspects of your job, especially given that every day can be different.
The holidays are always an emotional time so this week’s Episode of “Making it Right” is particularly poignant. Featuring Otto Kieslich from Universal NA, the episode recounts a fire that destroyed the Christmas tree in a family’s new home — but not the family’s spirit — thanks to Otto’s efforts.
Today we’re delighted to launch our “Making it Right” Web series. Those of you lucky enough to attend our recent Property Innovation Conference in April saw a sneak preview of the series and I’ve embedded links to this preview below. We’ll be releasing a new episode every other week through the end of July and then starting up again in the fall with new episodes (just like your favorite HBO or Showtime series).
